Regional Director, Salt Lake & Tooele
As Regional Director at Switchpoint, Phil Lewis oversees multiple shelter and housing operations across Salt Lake and Tooele counties. He focuses on equipping teams to serve with dignity and compassion, strengthening site leadership, and improving systems that help staff stay grounded in Switchpoint’s mission of empowering individuals toward self-sufficiency, one person at a time.
Phil was drawn to this work through a deep belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported, especially during life’s lowest moments. For him, Switchpoint represents more than a shelter; it is a place of connection, opportunity, and new beginnings for people who may have been told they do not have a path forward.
Before joining Switchpoint, Phil built a career in fintech and banking operations, where he led teams, managed partnerships, and streamlined systems to improve customer experiences. Over time, he realized he wanted to apply those skills in a mission-driven environment. Today, he draws on that private-sector expertise along with his education in organizational strategy and operations to strengthen programs that truly change lives.
Originally from Pleasant Grove, Utah, Phil enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He also enjoys grilling and cooking
