Chief Financial Officer
Daniel Spear leads Switchpoint’s Finance team as the Chief Financial Officer, working closely with the board and upper management to oversee all financial operations. He sets accounting policies, processes, and controls to ensure the organization’s resources are managed with accuracy and integrity.
Daniel’s connection to Switchpoint began years ago when he volunteered in the old shelter kitchen. Experiencing even a small part of the mission firsthand left an impression, so when the opportunity arose to join the finance team, he knew it was a chance to support work that truly matters.
The first in his family to earn a college degree, Daniel is a CPA with more than 12 years of accounting experience. His background spans audit, consulting, and corporate finance, and he has served in leadership roles such as corporate controller and head of finance. He’s especially proud of successfully guiding companies through complex projects, including an S-1 filing.
What Daniel enjoys most about Switchpoint is the ability to continually improve systems for his team, the organization, and the mission at large.
Originally from Santa Clara, Utah, he spends much of his free time on home improvement and renovation projects.
