Michelle was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on Ellsworth Air Force Base. When she was a young child, her parents moved the family back to their roots in St. George, where she loved growing up in Southern Utah. Life was never dull in a home with six older brothers, and from the age of 12, Michelle began running the St. George Marathon each year. She developed a deep appreciation for the outdoor lifestyle and activities that Southern Utah has to offer.
Michelle earned her undergraduate nursing degrees from DSU and BYU-Idaho. She later received her graduate degree and became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the University of South Alabama. For the past decade, she has worked in Emergency Medicine while also owning and practicing out of her own small medical clinic, Bella Tu Medical.
Michelle has participated in multiple humanitarian missions with the St. George Rotary Club, as well as with several nonprofit organizations. She also serves on the board of the Strobell Family Foundation, which focuses on humanitarian efforts in developing countries.
Michelle is deeply grateful for her family and her country. She has been married to her best friend and husband, Joshua, for 14 years, and together they are raising their two young children, who are the center of their world. Her family inspires her commitment to preserving the community she loves by advocating for limited government, Constitutional principles, and the protection of future generations. She is passionate about keeping the community a place families know and love.
